Pretty in Paradise was born from a life shaped by creativity, music, love, and a deep appreciation for beauty in all its forms. Originally from the Netherlands, I grew up in a musical family and began performing at a young age.

Music carried me across stages and through many chapters of life, eventually leading me to Australia — a place that felt like home the moment we arrived.

Now, with my children grown and the joy of being a glamma, it felt like the perfect time to return to creating but instead using my voice I am this time using my hands and my endless imagination which comes from the heart..

Every piece of Pretty in Paradise jewellery is handmade on our 300-acre off-grid property, surrounded by nature, quiet, and intention. It’s a place where creativity flows easily and each design is made slowly, thoughtfully, and with love.

I work with solid sterling silver, quality gold plating, pearls, and genuine gemstones — many sourced directly from miners or carefully handpicked. No two stones are ever the same, and that uniqueness is something I deeply value.

Any materials that don’t find their way into my designs are lovingly donated, because nothing beautiful should go to waste.

 

Pretty in Paradise is my way of expressing how Australia makes me feel — free, grounded, inspired, and endlessly grateful.

Jewellery made to be worn, loved, and lived in. And yes… I may be 64, but my heart still thinks it’s 30.
